JERSEY SHORE - James I. Adams Jr., 91, of Jersey Shore, passed away on February 4, 2016 at The Williamsport Home skilled nursing center.

Jim was born on May 25, 1924, the son of the late James I. and Kathryn A. "Steinbacher" Adams.

He liked to play several different sports such as bowling or fishing but he absolutely loved to golf.  Jim also liked to do woodworking. He had owned his own floor covering business, Adam's Flooring, before going on to teach, Building Technology at WACC and retiring in 1986.

Surviving is his wife, Jane "Kelchner" Adams. They were united in marriage on March 29, 1951 and they shared 64 years together.

Surviving in addition to his wife is three daughters, Cathy (Jerry) Braucht and Christy (Carlie) Kephart both of Lock Haven and Jamie (Scott) Chambers of Jersey Shore; 6 grandchildren, Kindra, Kelly, Channon, Rachel, Cam and Brian; 4 great grandchildren, Hailey, Madesyn, Alaina and Mason.

Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ely and his daughter Julia Ann.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
