JERSEY SHORE - Helen F. (Bottorf) Goodbrod, 87, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 at Manor Care, Jersey Shore.

Helen was married to the late William G. Goodbrod on June 1, 1948 and they were married for 54 years at the time of his death in 2002.

Helen was born on April 8, 1929 in Flemington and was the daughter of the late T. Gordon and Odessa Ellen (Wheeler) Bottorf.  She graduated from S. Williamsport High School.  She had worked as a Local Registrar from 1964 – 1972, J.C. Penney's, and then retired after 22 years as a secretary for the Lycoming County District Justice Office.  Helen was a member of the Faith Fellowship Worship Center.  After retiring, she and her late husband had owned and operated the Ye Olde Library Bed & Breakfast.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers and her grandchildren.  She was always active in any of her children's activities.

Helen is survived by two sons; Randy L. Goodbrod (Barbara) of Nashville, NC and Ronald L. Goodbrod (Jeri) of McElhattan, five daughters; Diane L. Cunningham (Barry) of Jersey Shore, Debra L. Alexander (Robert) of Jersey Shore, Denise L. Hurlbutt of Jersey Shore and her companion James Robbins of Williamsport, Donalee L. Goodbrod (Kirstin) Griffin of Wilton, CT and Dawn L. Reed and companion Fred Thompson of Phoenix, AZ, 21 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one daughter-in-law; Judy Goodbrod of Jersey Shore and one sister-in-law; Elnora J. "Peanut" Bottorf of Williamsport.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son; Rick A. Goodbrod, two brothers; James and Kenneth Bottorf and one sister; Mabel Bottorf.

There will be a public viewing 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd., 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.  The funeral will be held 9:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the funeral home with Elder Randy L. Goodbrod officiating.  Burial will follow in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
