Obituary

AVIS - Gerald A. “Jerry” Goodreau, 67, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at his home.

He was married to the former Dianne E. (Campbell), who survives, and they have shared 27 years as husband and wife.

Jerry was born on January 11, 1959 in Wellsboro and was the son of Ruth A. (Johnson) Goodreau of Lock Haven and the late Lyle Goodreau. He graduated from Wellsboro High School in 1977 and then Williamsport Area Community College in 1979 with an associate degree in computer science. Jerry worked at Brodart as IT Supervisor for 35 years. He was a member of the Avis United Methodist Church, in which he served as treasurer, usher, worked with vacation bible school and power point technician. He was on the tennis team in high school and enjoyed pickleball and was an avid Penn State Football and Steeler Football fan. Jerry was meticulous when it came to his lawn, however, his greatest love was for his daughters and grandchildren.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by four daughters; Kayla Lambert (Ben) of Dushore, Alissa Goodreau (Corey Lynch) of Hughesville, Ashley Campbell of Avis and Keri Goodreau (Daniel Paulhamus) of Avis and seven grandchildren; Lila, Margaret, Leddie, Nora, Niomi, Rosie and Daniel. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Lyle Jr. and Bill and one sister; Joan Wheeler.

There will be a memorial service held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2026 at the Avis United Methodist Church, 215 Prospect Ave., Avis, PA 17721 with Pastor Martin Parr Officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
