Frances Gloria (Horton) Leonard, 82, of Jersey Shore, died on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Jersey Shore Manor Care.
She was married to Clarence L. Leonard who survives, and they just celebrated 60 years as husband and wife on December 1st.
Frances was born on February 17, 1934 in Corning, NY and was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Watkins) Horton. She graduated from Painted Post High School then went on to Alfred State Tech. She had worked at Brodart and the Grit. Frances was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lock Haven branch. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, computer work and family history.
In addition to her husband Clarence, she is survived by three sons; William M. "Bill" Leonard (KC) of Lock Haven, Charles R. Leonard of Jersey Shore and Jonathan R. Leonard of Jersey Shore, two daughters; Katie D. Seagraves (Patrick) of Collinsville and Faith L. Johnson (Jamie) of Jersey Shore, 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and one sister; Sandra LeBorran of Painted Post, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother; Neil Horton.
There will be a public viewing 9 – 10 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. President Keith S. Dennison will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
