Emery W. Rinker, age 77, passed away on September 20, 2026. Born on May 30, 1949, to the late William and Pearl (Carr) Rinker, Emery lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and adventure.

Emery was an honorable U.S. Navy veteran who proudly served his country overseas for two tours, earning the National Defense Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. His dedication to service and country was unwavering, and he carried these values throughout his life.

Over the years, Emery worked in various capacities, donning many hats throughout his career. He ultimately retired from The Express, where he contributed to the newspaper distribution center. His work was characterized by diligence and commitment, qualities that resonated in all other aspects of his life.

An avid outdoorsman, Emery found joy in hunting and fishing, spending countless days immersed in nature. He also enjoyed playing billiards and tinkering with his model trains, pastimes that fueled his curiosity and creativity. Emery cherished attending flea markets, always on the lookout for unique finds and treasures.

In high school, Emery was recognized as a member of the All-State Football Team, highlighting his athletic talents and team spirit. These early experiences shaped him into the person he became.

Emery is preceded in death by his parents and brothers William Rinker, Delray Rinker, Harold Rinker, Tom Rinker, and Butch Rinker. He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughters Bobby (Tim) Wind and Tammy Rinker; brother Robert "Bob" Rinker; sisters Sherry Gardner and Penny Haight; dear friends, Harry and Theresa Ramser, along with their family and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.

In accordance with Emery's wishes, there will be no public services. A graveside military service will be held at a later date for family and friends to honor and celebrate his life.
