"Don" Lohr

LOCK HAVEN - Donald D. "Don" Lohr, 84, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Jersey Shore Hospital.
Donald was married on September 30, 1956 to the former Maude E. (Smith), who survives, and have celebrated 59 years as husband and wife.
He was born in Bellefonte on July 5, 1931 and was a son of the late George and Ruth (Zong) Lohr. He had graduated from East Penns Valley High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He had worked at Belle Telephone/Verizon for 36 years and retired in 1989. Donald was a member of the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church, Jersey Shore and enjoyed reading, camping, any sports and especially meeting people.
In addition to his wife, Maude, he is survived by two daughters; Tami E. Brudzinski (Fred) Bear Creek Twp. and Renee R. Albright of Harrisburg, three grandchildren; Dale E. Grieb (Sarah) of New Cumberland, Corey D. Grieb (Danielle) of Mill Hall and Leah M. Hosey (Dennis) of Williamsport, six grandchildren; Cadence E. Grieb, Kori D. Grieb, David E. Grieb, Emmalia D. Grieb, Asher O. Grieb and Gillian R. Grieb. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Don dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son; Randy E. Lohr, two brothers; George E. and Paul F. Lohr and three sisters; Leona S. Zerby, Esther G. Brandt and Ruth Lohr.
There will be a public viewing from 10 – 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church, 220 High Street, Jersey Shore where the funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Joseph H. Wells will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore.
