David L. Delaney, 64, of McElhattan, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

He was born in Lock Haven, April 7, 1955, a son of Bernard C. and Vona M. (Furl) Delaney. For over 24 years he was employed by SECO Tools as a technical specialist.  He was looking forward to his retirement later this year.  David was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Rauchtown where he was very active in church functions. He was also a member of the Jersey Shore BPOE Lodge 1057.  David enjoyed gardening, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was a drag racing enthusiast.

David's survivors include his daughters, Amber Delany Poulich (Jason), of Greensburg and Jami Boylen (Sean), of Lock Haven; three grandchildren, Delaney, Dylan, and Avery; along with a brother, Jack Delaney (Connie) of Avis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sandra Reading and a brother, Raymond Delaney.

David's tribute of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, from St. James Lutheran Church, Middle Road and Route 880, Rauchtown, with his pastor, Rev. Dr. Kerry Aucker officiating.  A public visitation will be held Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.
