Obituary

Darl R. Cline, 82, of Jersey Shore, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2026. She met her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ face to face and heard the words “well done thy good and faithful servant.” Born in Jersey Shore on August 21, 1943, she was the only child of the late R. Elmer and Eleanor E. (Metzger) Delker.

Darl retired from Jersey Shore State Bank where she worked as a customer service representative. She married the late James W. Cline on February 17, 1968. Darl was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Jersey Shore. Throughout her life Darl served the Lord in various capacities including leading a children’s choir, playing the piano, and teaching a widow’s small group. An accomplished musician who played by ear, Darl also played the accordion and enjoyed listening to music. She loved to make her own greeting cards and was just as happy to send them as she was to receive them. On her birthday, it brought her joy to count how many cards she received and display them. Darl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She truly cherished every moment spent with her family.

Darl leaves behind a son, Craig Cline; a daughter, Renee’ Sheddy (Ty) all of Jersey Shore; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Chang (Jerry) and Jordan Leakey (Jeremiah); a great grandson, Luca Chang; a sister-in-law, Nancy Cosentine; and nephews, Daniel Cosentine (Jenn) and Andrew Cosentine. She is preceded in death by her parents, R. Elmer and Eleanor; and her loving husband of 34 years, James.

A celebration of Darl’s life will be held at 7pm on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church, 315 Thompson St., Jersey Shore, with Pastor Jeffery Howell officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 6pm until the time of the service at the church on Thursday.

The family will provide the flowers and asks that donations be made in Darl’s name to Calvary Baptist Church at 315 Thompson St., Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
