Obituary

LOCK HAVEN - Charles A. Klump, Jr., 89, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was married on August 25, 1982 to the former Elsie M. (Tomb), who survives, and they have shared 44 years as husband and wife.

Charles was born on May 22, 1937 in Stockertown and was the son of the late Charles A. and Carrie (Shaffer) Klump. He was a truck driver for many years. In his earlier years, he was a heavy equipment operator in Nazareth. Charles attended Jersey Shore Church of God and was a former member of the Inland Empire T-Bird Club. He also enjoyed restoring T-Birds and Datsuns.

In addition to his wife, Elsie, he is survived by two sons; Charles A. Klump, III (April) of Arizona and Michael J. Klump (Sherry) of California, one daughter; Jan Marie Cobb (Kevin) of California, numerous grandchildren and step-son; Guy J. Walker, Jr. (Brenda) of Lock Haven. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother; Carl S. Klump, sisters; Viola Berger, Margaret Bortz and Irene Searcy, step-son; Jody Brickley and step-daughter; Sherry Brickley.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.

Arrangements are being handled by Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.
