Carol J. (Walters) Dincher, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, at the age of 80. Born on August 13, 1944, in Williamsport to the late Ray and Arlene (Renn) Walters, Sr., Carol lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community.
Carol worked as a baker at Stroehmann's Bakery, where she was known for her skill and dedication. Her passions in life were only matched by her commitment to helping others. She volunteered with the STEP program, making a positive impact on many lives.
Outside of work, Carol was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, where she cherished the camaraderie and joy of shared experiences. She loved shopping, especially when accompanied by her daughter Lisa and granddaughter Abby, creating treasured memories on their outings. Carol also enjoyed visiting local eateries, where her laughter and warmth were always welcome.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Donald Thorsten of Renovo, and her sister Barbara Maggs of Williamsport. as well as a daughter, Lori Dincher. Carol is survived by her ex-husband, Ed Dincher; her daughter, Lisa Strain; her grandson, Luke Laubach; her granddaughter, Abby Laubach; and her brother, Rayman Walters Jr. of Nisbet. She will also be missed by her cherished grand-cat, Jack.
A memorial service will take place at Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Visitation will be from 10AM-12PM.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, located at 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore, PA. Friends and family are invited to leave fond memories and condolences below for the family.
