IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Jean
Henry
October 12, 1955 – February 21, 2026
Carol Jean Henry was born on October 12, 1955, to Jean Henry (Williiamson) and the late Donald Henry at Jersey Shore hospital. She departed this life on February 21, 2026.
Carol, affectionately known as “me ma” and “mamas”, had a beautiful soul and gracious heart. Her tiny frame was filled with a heavenly light that illuminated and uplifted spirits. Her infectious laugh and lovely smile were warm and inviting. Her embrace was strong and comforting. A kiss from her lips, soft, like the feathers of an angel.
In addition to her angelic personality, Carol is remembered for much more. Growing up, she excelled in the arts, even considering art school as a career. She’d spend long hours together with her mother, daughter and other family members doing ceramics and coloring. Carol was also great at gardening. She even managed to grow plants from shale! Carol, along with her longtime life partner, Jack, built two ponds together. She had green thumbs and toes, which she used to make the plant universe flourish and thrive. Carol's powers didn't stop there. Thirteen years ago, she was a survivor of a domestic violence act that nearly took her life. With the love and support of her family, she found the strength to leave, thus blessing us with over a decade more of her love and support (thank you, Carol).
Throughout her life, Carol had a melting pot of animals which she cared for deeply. She had two pitbulls, Star and Liberty, that preceded her in death. She mothered a ferret, iguana, rat, snake, frogs, tarantula and multiple birds and cats.
Carol's work journey began at a factory as a shoe cobbler when she was a teen. She then transitioned to hospitality, working as a housekeeper for several hotels through the years. Finally, she settled at the Genetti in Williamsport where she has worked for the last 16 years. This was her home, her job, and where she departed from this earth.
In addition to her father, Carol is preceded in death by, her ex-husband and father of Robin, Thomas Banks; and spiritual husband, Jack Eoute.
As our Heavenly Father chose to bring His daughter home, He leaves the following to rejoice in her precious memories here on Earth: mother, Jean Henry; daughter, Robin Young; three sisters, Kathy (Chris) Rinehart, Donna (Jerry) Wagner, and Sharon (Mike) Stahl; a brother, Ronald (Lisa) Henry; a granddaughter, Love (Caden) Snyder; two great grandchildren, Rosalie and Sage; a stepson, Michael Eoute; four Godchildren, Syreeta ‘Reeta babe” Pittman, Jabal, Quadir, and Shadir; a God granddaughter, Cha’de; a great God grandson, Masego; as well as a host of friends and family.
The family wishes to thank all those who have extended their condolences during our time of bereavement. A special thanks to the Genetti Hotel for their love and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carol’s name to an animal shelter of their choice.
Arrangements were entrusted to Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Jersey Shore. To leave a condolence for the family, please visit www.rearickcarpenter.com.
