Carol A. (Gottschall) Ludwig, 81, of Jersey Shore, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018.  She was born in Salladasburg, Oct. 19, 1936, the daughter of the late Merrill L. and Anna (Anglehoffer) Gottschall.

Carol was a graduate of the Jersey Shore Area Senior High School. She married the love of her life, Robert T. Ludwig, Oct. 5, 1957, they celebrated 60 years together.  Carol was employed by BLAST IU 17 as a Student Aide for Handicapped children.  Carol was a member of the Oval United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed reading, visiting Mohegan Sun and vacationing with her family in Ocean City NJ.  Carol was a devoted wife and mother.

Carol is survived by her husband, Robert, one son, Thomas Ludwig (Amy Yocum) of Lock Haven.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin and Elwood Gottschall and one sister, Shirleen Anderson

A Tribute of Life Memorial Service will be held, Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 12 noon with a visitation for family and friends from 11 am -12 pm at the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore, with Pastor Susan Champion officiating.  Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of her family
