Carl D. Garverick, 80, of Waterville passed away early Monday morning, May 13, 2019, at Manor Care in Jersey Shore.

He was born Nov. 9, 1938, in Jersey Shore, a son of Willis and Bertina Love Garverick. He married the former Nancy L. Smith May 6, 1967. They were married 52 years. Carl was employed by Cummings Township retiring in 2005 after over 16 years as an equipment operator. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Rauchtown. Starting at the age of 14 in 1952, he joined the Waterville Volunteer Fire Company to which he was a dedicated member over 66 years. He enjoyed working around the house, carpentry, hunting and fishing.

Besides his wife, Nancy, he is survived by a brother, Willis Garverick.

Carl's Tribute of Life Service will be held Tuesday June 11, at 11 a.m., from St. James Lutheran Church, Rauchtown, with his Pastor Rev. Dr. Kerry Aucker officiating followed by a reception at the Waterville Fire Hall. His family suggests contributions be made to the Waterville Volunteer Fire Company, 11009 Route 44, Waterville, PA 17776.
