JERSEY SHORE - Bonnie Jean Thorne, 76, of Jersey Shore, PA, passed away Monday morning September 9, 2024 at her residence.

She was born October 25, 1947 in Meyersdale, PA, a daughter of the late Carl E. and Alberta Kahl Mosser.  She was married shortly after graduating from high school to Gary F. Thorne on January 2, 1966.

Bonnie was an accomplished seamstress and was the proprietor of her own company Draperies by BJ.  She retired in 2010.  She attended the Grace Fellowship Church of Avis.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidering and canning, but her first love was her love for her family and grandchildren.

Besides her husband of 58 years, Gary, she is survived by her daughter Kimberly Carson (Ben) of Pine Creek and her son Troy Thorne (Beth) of Lancaster.  Seven grandchildren: Joshua (Sydney), Nathan (Kaitlyn), Emily, Kelsey (Hunter), Grace, Camryn and Abram.  Two brothers: Bill Mosser of Manheim and Donald Mosser of Grantsville, MD; three sisters: Trudy Savage of McHenry, MD, Donna Marion of Cumberland, MD and Dorothy Moore of Centreville, MD.  She was predeceased by a brother Wayne Mosser.

Bonnie's Life Tribute Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 16, 2024 at the Grace Fellowship Church 19 West Ridge St., Avis, PA with her Pastor Drew Collins presiding.  Bonnie's family suggests contributions be made to her church, The Grace Fellowship Church, 19 West Ridge St., PO Box 299, Avis, PA 17721.
