Anna V. Smith, 84, of Lock Haven, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Lock Haven on November 01, 1939 to the late Lloyd N. and Eva A. (Packer) Verbeck.

Anna was a 1957 graduate of Lock Haven High School. She married the love of her life, Douglas S. Smith on October 13, 1962. They shared 56 wonderful years together until his passing on April 24, 2019. She worked for the Clinton County Commissioner's office as a tax claim director until her retirement. After Anna's retirement, she worked part-time as a secretary at the Clinton County Prison.

Anna liked to sew and make quilts. She and her granddaughter would go on gambling trips together. Anna went to lunch with her high school classmates regularly. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family.

Anna is survived by a son, Douglas S. (Rachel Rockey) Smith II of Lock Haven; a daughter, Celestine "Tina" (Brian) Hopple of Jersey Shore; two grandchildren, Kristen Hopple and Sean Smith; a great-granddaughter, Olivia Smith; a brother, Michael Verbeck of Williamsport; a nephew, David Barrett; a niece, Mary Lou Wood; and a close friend, Carolyn Welshans.

In addition to her parents and husband, Douglas, Anna is preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Barrett; and two brothers, Terry and Max Verbeck.
