Rose F. (Zellers) Brown, 86, of Jersey Shore Passed away, Thursday, March 28, 2019, at the Gatehouse Hospice in Williamsport surrounded by her family.
She was born, Sept. 9, 1932 in Lavalle, PA, a daughter of Victor and Grace (Chiffo) Zellers. Rose was a homemaker all her life and was catholic by faith. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and doing crosswords. Rose was a former member of the V.F.W., American Legion and The Polish Club.
Her survivors include a son, John M. Whyne (Joanne) of Media, four daughters; Sherrie R. Brown (Frederick), Susan M. Stabley (Mark) and Margaret T. Hoffman (Robert), all of Jersey Shore and Patricia A. Gardner (Dean) of Avis, 23 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. Also, two Stepsons, Frederick D. Brown (Sherrie), of Jersey Shore and Gerald L. Brown (Janet) of South Williamsport, three Step daughters; Patricia A. Brown (Dale) of Pittsburgh, Barbara L. Downs (John) of Newberry and Jacquelynn E. Lewis (Sean) of Pittsburgh; one brother Richard Zellers and two sisters, Grace Lucarelli, and Jackie Misteck, both of Reading.
Rose was preceded in death by her first husband, John Whyne in 1980 and her second husband, Frederick Brown in 2018, one sister, Frances Zellers and one daughter, Lori Lynn Whyne.
Rose’s Life Tribute Celebration will be held, Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 9 am from the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore with Pastor Patricia Brown officiating. A visitation will be held, Friday, April 5, 2019 at the funeral Home from 6 pm – 8 pm. Burial will be at the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
