Mary Lee Winchester, 75, of Avis, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Jersey Shore on December 6, 1943 to the late Clyde and Gertrude (Moore) Frye.
Mary Lee married Scott C. Winchester on June 25, 1960 they had celebrated over 45 years of marriage before his passing on December 1, 2005. Mary Lee worked as a sewing machine operator at the Woolrich factory, where she retired. She was a life member of the Moose Lodge. Mary Lee loved photography, flower gardening and her cat, Tigerlily Baby.
Surviving Mary Lee are two sons, Shane (Lynn) Winchester, Avis, and Reese Winchester, Avis; two daughters, Angela (Joseph) Pedokus, Renovo, and Traci (Joseph) Bletz, Beech Creek; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; two brothers, James (Nan) Frye, Rocktown, and Leonard Frye, Jersey Shore; two sisters, Linda (Cleason) Whipple, Florida, and Carol (Jack) Welshans, Rocktown; and a siter-in-law, Ruthann Hopple, Florida.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Lee is preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Patrick Winchester; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four brothers, Chet, Allen, Robert and Carl Frye; and one sister, Betty Klop.
A celebration of life for Mary Lee will take place at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Avis Fire Hall, 1 East Central Ave. Avis. Lunch will be provided.
