Loetta Ergott Obituary

Letty Ergott of Jersey Shore went home to be with the Lord, while staying at her daughter's home in Millheim, on Monday, December 9, 2019. She was born August 28, 1931 in South Williamsport; to the late Randall S. Sylvis and Mildred M. (Miller) Sylvis. 

Letty grew up in Rochester and Lancaster, NY, and Jersey Shore, PA where she graduated from high school in 1949. She lived in Biloxi, MS, State College, PA, Appalachian, NY, W. Redding, CT and Jersey Shore, PA. She was a volunteer at Danbury Hospital in CT and Jersey Shore hospital in PA. She was a member of Emmanuel Community Church for 38 years and served as a deaconess for many years. Letty loved her family and friends and spent most of her time talking, listening and praying with them. She loved to talk and would strike up a conversation everywhere she went. She especially sought after any opportunity to share her testimony and God's saving grace through His son Jesus Christ.

She is survived by four children: Les Ergott (Kathy) of Collegeville, PA, Sandra Ciacelli (Mark) of Endicott, NY, Kristen Kalmbach (Doug) of Millheim, PA and Heidi Musingo (Thomas) of Belmont, NY; 10 grandchildren, Levi Ergott, Jesse Ergott (Sara), Katie Rebilas (James), David Ergott (Sheila), Jason Morean (Nickolle), Bromlyn Fitzgerald (Joshua Zong), Ryan Fitzgerald (Samantha McClarty); Emily Musingo, Joseph Musingo, Grace Musingo; and nine great-grandchildren, London, Carter and Violet Morean, Emma and Ethan Ergott, Atticus Nottage, Judah and Hannah Rebilas and Aaron Ergott.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Melvin Sylvis and Lee Sylvis and a sister Kathleen (Sylvis) Heberlein.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 1:00pm-2:00pm, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny Street Jersey Shore, led by Pastor David Kanski of Emmanuel Community Church. Interment will be at Jersey Shore Cemetery, under the direction of Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, at the convenience of the family.
