Lloyd David “Lloyd D.” Bremigen, 87, of Jersey Shore passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born June 14, 1932 in South Avis, a son of Francis and Maude (Busler) Bremigen.
He married the former Flora Hilborn July 28, 1950. Lloyd was a supervisor for West Company for over 33 years. Early in his life he worked as a Truck Driver for the Allegheny Creamery and also worked for Modern Cleaners. Lloyd coached Junior League and Little League baseball and was a former member of R.E.A.C.T. in Jersey Shore. He was a member of the Jersey Shore Assembly of God in Antes Fort where he was very active. He served as a former Sunday School Superintendent, an active Deacon and Trustee of the Church. He was also Secretary/Treasurer of the Church and of late an Honorary Deacon and Trustee. Above all else Lloyd was a devoted and beloved family man.
Besides his wife, Flora, of 69 years; he is survived by four sons; David (Cindy) of Jersey Shore, Jack (Sheila), of Hughesville, Michael (Jean) of Avis and Gregory (Tinia) of Jersey Shore; three daughters; Natalie Bremigen, of Jersey Shore, Cathy Russo (Gordie) of Pine Creek and Christie Brooks (Brad) of Avis; 27 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, William Bremigen, of Albany, NY, two sisters, Mary Adriance and Patricia McDonald both of Albany.
Lloyd was preceded in death by a grandson, a great granddaughter, and his siblings, Jack, Leroy, Danny, Helen and Betty.
Lloyd D.’s Life Tributes Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019 from the Jersey Shore Assembly of God Church in Antes Fort with his former Pastor Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Friends and Family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore and again on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Church. Interment will follow in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
