Jay Alan Steckenfinger, 58, son of Barbara Barger and Ira & Sue Steckenfinger, joined our Lord and Savior on April 1, 2017, in Rauchtown, PA.  He is survived by his wife Debra Lee Steckenfinger, step-sons David Murray (Theresa) and Chad Brungard, son Christopher Edwards, brothers Dale and Karl Steckenfinger (Melody); sisters Kim Garlick, and Sara M. Guilds, step-sister Dawn Barger, niece Carrie Ward, nephews Shawn Steckenfinger, Wilder, and Jasper., Nieces Patience and Everly; Grandchildren Rebecca Brungard, Max and Mason Murray, Audrey and Alex Edwards and Great Nephew Cane Ward.

Jay was employed for 40 years by the Jersey Shore Cemetery. An outdoorsman by nature, Jay was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending his time with his family & friends, especially his special time with his grandsons, Max and Mason, riding his tractor, playing ball until dusk in the summertime, and fishing at the pond.

He was a loyal husband to his loving wife of 30 years, Deb.  Jay was a devoted family man who instilled values and character into those in his life; he taught invaluable life lessons and encouraged others to lead a life filled with ethics and gratitude.  Jay was a friend to all he met and was always willing to help anyone in need.  Those who knew Jay, and were fortunate enough to have him in their lives, feel this tragic loss.  He will always be loved, never forgotten...
