Carol Ann (Burgess) Scheesley

Carol Ann (Burgess) Scheesley, 71, of Jersey Shore passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Aristacare Loyalsock Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Loyalsock.

She was born in Williamsport, January 19, 1946, the daughter of Orin and Eva (Burkholder) Burgess.  She was a 1964 graduate of Williamsport High School.  Carol and her husband Kenneth John Scheesley were married June 29, 1968 in Jersey Shore.  She was a member of the Lycoming Christian Church.  Carol and her husband were co-owners of Inside Out Maintenance of Jersey Shore and she was a housekeeper for Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home.  Early in her life, she was employed by Jersey Shore State Bank.  She enjoyed cross-stitch and traveling and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Carol’s survivors include her husband Ken, one daughter Shelley Smith (George) and one son Scott Scheesley (Beth); four grandchildren, Kimberly and Aaron Bressler and Nathaniel and Danielle Scheesley.  She was predeceased by her parents’ and two brothers, Jack and Orie.

Carol’s Life Tribute will be held at 11 am, Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore, with Pastor Donald Dennis officiating.  Friends and family will be received at the Funeral Home, Thursday, Jan 11, 2018 from 6- 8 pm.

Interment will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
