JERSEY SHORE - Angel L. (Lorson) McLaughlin, 46, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Gatehouse; Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, surrounded by her family.
Angel was born in Lock Haven on May 3, 1973 and was the daughter of John L. and Ellen (Zener) Lorson of South Williamsport. She graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1991 then attended Penn College and then transferred to Mansfield Police Academy. After that, she started working for the Montgomery Police Dept as a part-time officer, while she still worked full-time as an ER Tech for 12 years. She left the ER and went to be a full-time police officer at the Lock Haven University while remaining her part-time position with the Montgomery Police Dept. Being the true public servant, she had also helped at elderly homes, was an EMT for Jersey Shore, Citizens Hose Fire Company, provided home health care, worked at the Williamsport Hospital as a nurse’s aide and at the DUI Center. Her love for life was……her sons, granddaughter, family and dearest friends, her police family, Starbucks, her church family at Crossroads Church where she was a member and God. She enjoyed camping, boating and the outdoors.
In addition to her parents, Angel is survived by two sons; Dalton J. McLaughlin of Rauchtown and Collin H. McLaughlin of Jersey Shore, one granddaughter; Emberlynn Sky McLaughlin, one brother; Jeffery Rhinehart (Darlene) of Mill Hall and one nephew; Devon Rhinehart.
There will be a public viewing 9 – 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Crossroads Church, 1454 PA 44, Jersey Shore, where the celebration of life service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Booker Riddick will officiate the service.
Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Jacks Hollow Road, Williamsport with Father Bert Kozen officiating. Police honors will also be performed.
Arrangements are being handled by the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, PA.
