Our mother, grandmother, G-ma, Old Gram, Great Gram, sister and aunt, Wanda L. (Truax) Letterman, 74, of Avis passed away early Friday September 7, 2018 surrounded by family, in her home. Wanda was born February 10, 1944 in Jersey Shore, to Robert and Edith Truax.
She worked at West Co., Bro-Dart, Avis America, then went to cleaning houses for her wonderful clients who are dearly missed. An avid yard-saler, Wanda loved puzzles and word searches, gospel music and attending fairs.
Wanda is survived by one son: Donald Letterman, Jr. (Roni) of Mill Hall; two daughters: Crystal Merryman (Steven) of Jersey Shore, and Janet McHenry (Doyle) of Avis; her close companion of more than 17 years: Charles Perry, Jr. of Avis; two Brothers: Lawrence and John Truax, both of Woolrich; three sisters: Joanne Fisher of Mill Hall, June Getgen (Jim) of Rauchtown, and Shirley Chapman of Pine Creek; a Brother-in-law: Charles Letterman, Jr. of Jersey Shore; a Sister-in-law Clara Hensler of Arizona; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald Letterman, Sr.; 4 Sisters: Marian Young, Catherine Packard, Margaret Welshans, Marguerite Johnson; and two brothers: Richard and Donald Truax.
Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Wanda’s life at Crossroads Community Church on Monday September 10, 2018 from 3-6pm with Pastor John Phillips officiating.
