Martha J. (Cranmer) Mitchell

Martha J. Mitchell, 76, of Jersey Shore, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family, Sat. Dec. 1, 2018.  She was the daughter of Lester and Miriam (Lannan) Cranmer, born November 13, 1942 in Jersey Shore.

Martha was a lifetime resident of Jersey Shore, graduating from the Jersey Shore Senior High School and continuing her education by earning an Associate Degree.   She and her husband, David, were married Nov. 4, 1967, recently celebrating their 51st wedding anniversary.  Martha held the position of Officer in the Trust Department of various banks, retiring from M & T Bank in Williamsport. She was a very active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Jersey Shore. Martha had a passion for snowmen having a collection of over 1300 which she truly enjoyed displaying and sharing with others every year.

Martha is survived by her loving husband, David, a son, Scott Mitchell (Molly) of Avis, a daughter Susan Lundy (Jeff) of Jersey Shore; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley Cranmer.

A Tributes of Life Memorial Service will be held, 1:00 PM, Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church, 229 S Broad St, Jersey Shore, with Dr. Rev Kerry Aucker officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Martha’s memory to Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Road, Lock Haven, PA 17745 or to St. John Lutheran Church, Jersey Shore.
