Jean M. Sanden

Jean M. (Livingston) Sanden, 85, passed away, Monday, April 16, 2018 at the River Woods Manor, Lewisburg.  Jean was born September 10, 1932 in Shamokin, the daughter of George and Marie (Eckert) Livingston. 

After graduating High School, Jean began pursuing her Nursing degree; she graduated from the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing in 1953.  She first began working at the Williamsport Hospital as a Registered Nurse and her career spanned over 50 years.  On October 2, 1954, Jean married Lewis Sanden; sharing 63 happy years together; they even had a room together at River Woods Manor in Lewisburg. 

Jean was a very active lady, she liked to swim, go for walks, she enjoyed volunteering at the Evangelical Hospital, and working with a ladies group at her church and was a member of Athenaeum.  One of her greatest joys in her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her husband, Lewis, two sons, Gregory (Bethany) Sanden of, St. Petersburg, FL, and Christopher of Northfield, VT. She is also survived by four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a brother Lloyd (Carol) Livingston of Mifflinburg.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Sara Mae Maxson and a great grandson, Alex Green.

A Tributes of Life Service for Jean will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 404 Market Street, Mifflinburg.  Private interment will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
