James E. Lomison

James E. Lomison, 70, of Jersey Shore passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 at Manorcare in Jersey Shore.  He was born Nov. 18, 1947 in Bellefonte, a son of Richard and Lois (Love) Lomison.  James was a graduate of Monterey High School in Monterey. CA. 

He was a SGT with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War Era.  He also attended Seaside Tech for electronics.  James retired in 2011 after 26 years plus with The Tylersville Fish Hatchery.  He was very involved with the PA Fish Commissions Stocking Program.

He was a talented musician and guitarist and was a member of the Kels Lomison Band, Freelance and Paul and Sam Confers Band.  James was a former member of the Clinton County Model RR Club and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Jersey Shore.

His survivors include his wife, the former Linda Sones, whom he married Sept. 22, 1988, his son Mark L. Lomison of Jersey Shore and a sister, Deb Dunlap of Reno, NV.  He was predeceased by a brother, Linn and a sister, Linda.

Jim’s Life Tribute service will be held on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 from the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore at 1 pm.  Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home Friday from noon until 1 pm.  Interment will follow in Muncy Cemetery, Muncy.
