Harry Waltz Obituary

Harry J. Waltz, 85, of 798 W. Edwin St., Apt 1102 Williamsport, PA 17701 Williamsport, passed away, Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born June 13, 1933 in Anthony Township, a son of Carl S. and Helen (Paulhamus) Waltz. 

Harry was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army.  He was the recipient of the Korean, United Nations, National Defense, and Good Conduct Service Medals.  He married the former Bonnia Lucas in 1966. 

Harry was a farmer his whole life in the Salladsburg area.

Harry worked as a Security Guard for Alcan Cable, CA Reed and Trimtex, all of Williamsport.  He was a member of the International Harvester Club.  Harry enjoyed travel by train, boat, and automobile; he visited all 50 states, Australia and the Panama Canal.

Besides his loving wife, Bonnia, he is survived by two sons, Francis C. Waltz (Shelly) of Henderson NV and Clifford L. Waltz (Amy) of Beech Creek and one grandson, McClellan. He is also survived by one brother, Lloyd Waltz (Fae) of Montoursville and four sisters all of Williamsport, Ruth English, Martha Ward (Amos), Mary Flook (Forest), and Bessie Lane (Doug).

In keeping with Harry’s wishes his services will be held at his family’s convenience.

Contributions in his memory may be made to Williamsport VA Clinic, 1705 Warren Avenue, Werner Building, Suite 304, Williamsport, PA 17701-2665 in care of the Mental Health Department.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore.
